The eagerly awaited Apple iPhone upgrade was rather an anticlimax. I suppose we’ve come to expect radical developments every time Apple brings out an upgrade, but it doesn’t always happen. Yes, it now has video recording – but plenty of other phones have had that for years. Yes, it’s twice as fast as the 3G, but I don’t use a stopwatch when I’m surfing. Battery life is improved, which is good, and there are lots of other minor enhancements: I particularly like the remote wipe feature if it gets stolen. So what’s the verdict? It’s a fantastically good phone that’s now ever so slightly better. But I don’t feel the need to upgrade from my 3G.
