There are five main mobile phone designs. A bar (or candy bar) phone is solid with no moving parts except keys. A touch phone is like a bar, but instead of keys you use fingertips on a touch screen. A flip (clamshell) phone has two hinged halves. A slide (slider) phone has two halves that slide apart. A twist (swivel) phone twists into various shapes for easy access and use.
